Pitch or Ditch

Child Safety Standards

Last updated: 23 July 2026

Pitch or Ditch has zero tolerance for child sexual abuse and exploitation (CSAE) in any form. This page sets out our published standards against CSAE, including child sexual abuse material (CSAM), and how we prevent, detect, report, and act on it.

1. Adults only

Pitch or Ditch is strictly an 18+ service. Every account must confirm a date of birth showing the user is 18 or older, and we remove accounts we discover to belong to minors. Content that sexualises, endangers, or exploits minors — real or depicted — is prohibited without exception, as is any attempt to use the service to contact, groom, or solicit minors.

2. Prevention and detection

3. In-app reporting

Every profile, pitch, and conversation in the app can be reported directly from within the app (open the profile or chat and choose Report). Child-safety reports are treated as the highest priority and reviewed by a human. You can also report concerns to us at any time at support@pitchorditch.is.

4. Enforcement

Where we identify CSAE content or behaviour we remove the content, permanently ban the account, and preserve the evidence. We do not warn offenders first, and bans are not appealable for child-safety violations.

5. Reporting to authorities

We comply with applicable child safety laws. Confirmed or suspected CSAM and CSAE activity is reported to the relevant authorities — for our Icelandic-operated service that means the Icelandic police (Ríkislögreglustjóri) and Barnaheill (Save the Children Iceland, the national INHOPE hotline) — and, where required, to other regional or national authorities. We cooperate with lawful law-enforcement requests, including preserving account data and evidence.

6. Contact

Our designated child-safety point of contact can speak to our CSAM prevention practices and compliance: support@pitchorditch.is.

These standards are reviewed as our safety tooling and the legal landscape evolve. See also our Privacy Policy and Help & Support.
